“Ask Louis”
Mystery solved. My tech guy said there were thousands and thousands of comments and the system could not hold anymore, so he had to remove all of 2010’s comments. I didn’t realize we “talked” so much….LOL

I wanted you all to know that the sweater above, A228340, plus the two printed velvet pieces are now avail. for ordering. I went to the Linea site, but I didn’t see them. My buyer said they were up, so maybe there’s a trick I don’t know about. Anyway….I am pleased that these three pieces were released before the show so that anyone who wants them will have a great chance of GETTING THEM!! By the way, the magenta cardigan above looks great with the purple crushed velvet long skirt [which I think is on sale] and the new violet HTC scarf,,,,,it’s a real mish mash, but it looks fabulous together…..enjoy
I wanted to post this picture to remind you of the jewelry I will be showing with the Hounds Tooth Check group. The GOLD and GUNMETAL in the 36 inch LOVE KNOT necklace, A270122, are already SOLD OUT. The only color remaining is the SILVER. My jewelry rep has told me, that the silver is very limited and close to selling out too!…..and they have only been list for a few weeks…..so….if you are interested….I wouldn’t wait to long. The 18 inch LOVE KNOT necklace is still avail in all colors, but the quantities are diminishing. Personally, I love the two lengths worn together. It looks like you wrapped the long one around your neck and the shorter one happens to sit perfectly.
It’s the same story for the cross necklace and earrings….only the silver remains. I know when I show all of these pieces on the 19th they will be gone….so I wanted to give a heads up to my Linea Ladies. I love the CHAIN HOOP earring, A267610, mixed with the KNOTS and the CROSSES. I know, for some of you they may be a bit heavy, but I can honestly say they are no heavier than any other “runway” earring I have done in the past……actually lighter. I asked Jac to try them on and she found them comfortable and has worn them…… she has had all types of earrings on doing runway shows for many designers here and in Europe. Of course everyone is different….if you think you can wear them I highly recommend them…..they are too cool. To finish the look off….. there is my new GUNMETAL WATCH, A270046. This fits an average wrist. If you have a small wrist you can wear it on top of your sweater sleeve. It really shows up beautifully on top of a black, or violet sleeve……really….any color………………RED!
I just wanted to let you know what the situation is with the jewelry, so you don’t miss your chance to get these pieces………you can’t rely on reorders! ….If it happens it takes forever!!…..Enjoy, Much Love…..Louis
“October Sneak Peek # 7” is my STRETCH VELVET print top, A228336. The prints have a flavor of BAROQUE and RENAISSANCE art all combined. The colors are saturated and rich and the velvet gives even more dept to this “luxe” and very European print. I wanted these particular prints to be worn with both the TARRAGON and WALNUT “TWEED” jackets and the new solid jackets that I will be showing on my October 19th show…..the BLACK PRINT and the others, will work right into your existing wardrobes.
The colors for the tops are ……TARRAGON, WALNUT and BLACK……. The Tarragon has shades of tarragon, olive, sienna, brown and black…..all the colors that are in the TARRAGON TWEED. The Walnut has shades of deep rust, topaz, aubergine, black and naturally, walnut brown. Again, the colors were picked to blend with the WALNUT TWEED jacket. The BLACK has pearl gray, violet, fuchsia, navy, and black. As you can see in the photos above, it looks w0nderful with the new VIOLET jacket and for those who love to mix it up….wear both, the jacket and top, with the VIOLET HTC SKIRT. The top measures approx. 26 inches long for the XS. It is a polyester/spandex fabric and therefore is washable and has LOTS of stretch. It has a draped V-neckline and then is smooth to the hem…..It has LONG SLEEVES that can easily be pushed up. This is truly a DAY to NIGHT piece, and definitely can be worn with a pair of jeans or the new WK pant in BLACK, WALNUT, or TARRAGON. Actually, there isn’t a bottom you can’t wear….Wear the tarragon sunburst pleated skirt, tweed jacket and velvet top for work or a special occasion……for a more casual attitude…wear the two pieces with jeans, boots, great tortoise sunglasses and spend a Saturday antiquing or going to yard sales. The color beads and earrings are COMING SOON!!!! In case you didn’t notice the photo on the upper left there is also a matching long skirt…….but that’s the next sneak peek! I think this top will also attract those who are not “print people” It is a subtle print and depending how you move and catch the light….it can sometimes meld into just color. What I always try to do is….extend your wardrobes by offering you pieces to change things up so there is always a new and fresh way to wear what you own…..yes, you can always wear the tweeds with a solid something, but it is so nice to have just the right print…. in just the right colors…. to pull it all together and give it that special “Designer Look”!
Since these prints work so well with many things from the Sept show…..I am working with my buyer to get these pieces, the velvet print top and skirt, on the Linea web site ASAP…….they are in the warehouse so why wait for the show to make them avail. ALSO…..we are trying to get the “shabby chic” cardigan on line ASAP too. I know there are many of you who wanted it and the weather is now perfect, in some areas, for just this type of sweater….keep an eye out….we are hoping to have them posted within the next few days!
……………………I hope you Enjoy!…..much Love……Louis
“October Sneak Peek # 6”, is my STRETCH VELVET LONG SKIRT, A228337. It is the same print, colors, [Walnut, Tarragon and Black], and fabric as the A228336, velvet top. The skirt is 33 inches long and has a slight A-Line shape…..not too much, just enough to be able to take a good stride without the need of a slit. It has a FULL ELASTIC WAIST BAND, so it has no zipper….just pull in on. This skirt has ALL the attributes of the velvet top…..it works with the tweeds…. plus sweaters and jackets you may already own. It can be casual with boots and a jean jacket…..somewhat more dressy with a leather or suede jacket and dressier still when worn with the matching top for a two piece dress look…..great for women who require different sizes top and bottom. I think the photos above will give you a true and accurate idea of the way it drapes and will look on the body. These will be the only velvet pieces I have done for this Fall/Winter season, so I hope you find them interesting, and something that you feel will definitely add to and expand your existing wardrobes………….Enjoy, much Love……Louis
