July 13 th shows are almost here!

Hello, Everyone!
Jac and I want to wish a Happy 4th of July to one and all! Our BIG plans for this evening will be to sit in our two red rocking chairs, eating ice cream and watching the fire works across the sound from all the towns along the Long Island shore. We have a wonderful open view of the Long Island sound and on the 4th of July the water is busy with boats sailing up and down the coast. Of course, the “girls” will be with us and we will see how Sammy deals with the fire work noise. Enjoy the holiday!
As I promised, here are the details of the June 13th shows that are coming up. There are 4 new items. I call these pieces “Transition”, because they are clothes that can be worn now, but can also be worn in Sept, Oct. and Nov……of course, depending on where you live or how you layer them, these can be pieces you can wear all year. The following are the style numbers and the details of each piece.

1-A216528, is the brushed cotton twill blazer. The jacket is aprox. 26 inches for the XS size. This jacket is longer than the spring/summer jackets. It has a two button front and the jacket is fully lined. There are two pocket flaps but the actual pockets are in the “SEAMS” below the flaps. Above each flap there are horizontal zippers which opens to real pockets. It has a long sleeve with three working buttons and the facing is wide enough to turn back without any lining showing. The metal half dome buttons and the zippers are all gunmetal. The colors the jacket will be avail in are Olive and Black. There are so many ways to wear these jackets that the combinations are endless. The black jacket over the “faux de chine” khaki shirt dress looks fantastic and, yes, the olives do work together. I would suggest wearing a colored tank under the dress for a hit of color. The khaki shirt dress under the black jacket with the new Aubergine tank is just plain CHIC!

2-A216529, is the matching brushed cotton crop pant. The fit of the pant was taken from the A199260, last years cotton sateen pant. They came in Tobacco and Black. The pant is side zip and the inseam on the XS is aprox. 25 1/2 inches. The brushed cotton gives the fabric a softer hand as apposed to the crispness of the cotton sateen. The olive pant not only matches the blazer, but will work with all the olive pieces you have purchased this past season. On their own, they are a great neutral to work with any color top. The black brushed cotton has a very different look from the cotton sateen. It looks great with cotton sateen tops and it perfect with all the brushed cotton jackets you may already have from Linea,  such as the A83571 leopard print jacket, which will be coming in two new colors later in the season. They are also going to be great with all of the new essential whisper knit sweaters coming in Aug…..but I’ll get to those later.

3-A216531, is my new paisley print Boho. They are made exactly like the original Boho. The ground colors are Olive and Black and the two skirts look very different because of the colors used in each print…..so, if you are considering getting both colors, do not be afraid that they will look similar. There are many Linea  tops that will work with these skirts and some that you may already own……some are still avail. I will be showing the A198824, Azure top with the olive skirt, and the A199856, Fuchsia top with the black skirt…..the Azure also works with the black. I will also be showing the skirt with a “Sneak Peek”!!!!Love those!.. I will be pairing the olive paisley with the new olive essential tank and cardigan in the “Whisper Knit”, which will be avail in Aug. and they are wonderful!

4-A216530, is the paisley peasant top. The colors again , are the Olive and the Black. Wear them with the crop pant, the matching paisley bohos for a 2 piece dress look, or with your solid boho skirts. They will come with their own self fabric tie belts. The neckline and sleeve cuff s are elastic, so there are multiple ways to wear the top. I would say it’s a long sleeve because it has a 5 inch circular ruffle below the elastic but, the sleeve can be pushed up to a 3/4 length. It is the perfect top to wear with multi strands of colored beads. It will be a wonderful addition to your summer and early fall wardrobes.

THE SNEAK PEEKS!

I always love, when possible, to give you an idea of some of the pieces that will be coming up in the months ahead. Hence, my “sneak peaks”!

1-A3825, is the reorder short sleeve crew neck sweater. I am not sure if  some of the new colors will or will not be avail. to buy on this show, but you can wait list them. I will be showing the new Aubergine and Olive sweaters and, yes, they will work with everything that is in Olive and everything that is or will be coming in Aubergine. Later in the season we will be bring it back in two additional new colors: Fawn and Deep Plum.

The “Whisper knit” group. The sweaters will be avail in August. They are all “CORE” pieces in “CORE” colors. They are the perfect layering pieces and the perfect basic sweaters to wear on their own.

A217360, is the short sleeve mock neck

A217629, is the long sleeve V-neck…..the one that many of you have been asking for!

A217627, is the tank, which is the same shape and neckline as the fall essential tank in the berry and black.

A?, is the cardigan. I do not have the A number yet, but I will get it and substitute the ? with it. Again, the body is the same as the essential fall cardigan in berry and black. It will work over all of your whisper knit sweaters as well as many of your blouses and shirts.

I can tell you each and everyone of these sweaters is beautiful and the “Whisper Knit” is definitely a customer favorite. All  styles of the sweaters will be avail. in Black, Olive, Aubergine, and Dark Mallard Blue [which is a rich teal]. I would suggest ordering in your normal Linea size. There is no need to size up or down. If you already own the essential tank and cardigan, then you know what size will work for you. IF you already own the essential fall cardigan in black …do you need the new one in black?…..I can only say………. the whisper knit is reason enough to own two black cardigans.

I will also be giving you a sneak peak of…. two of my new pants !. They are both in a new quality of poly/rayon/span. The A217972 is a slim leg pant and the A217971, is a straight leg pant. The colors are Black, Olive and Fawn which is a light camel beige. The good news is that they will both be avail. in petite lengths. In the petite lengths they will have different A#s. The regular pant will have aprox. a 32 inch inseam for size XS.

That, my friends, is what I will be having for you in July…..I hope you like the shows and enjoys how I have accessorized each outfit.

Enjoy The 4th and No playing with firecrackers!!!!!……………………….Much Love, Louis

HOME SAFE AND SOUND

Hi Everyone,
I hope you all enjoyed the shows. The results were terrific and we surpassed our goals….thank you all. Jac and I were and still are exhausted. We had to get up at about 2:30am Friday morning to be at QVC by 4am. We have to be there at least 1 hour before the show [they would prefer 2 hours before], and there are always things I have to go over with the stylists and the models. Of course, I really don’t get any sleep because the mind keeps going and going!!! In between shows I have to get ready for the next show and pack up the previous show…..so it leaves very little relaxing time….if any. By the time the day is done we are spent. We left QVC about 5pm and got home about 9pm. We hit tons of rush hour traffic in three states!!! Jac and I shared the driving. There were also terrible storms in NY and CT that we just missed. We were following them up the coast. I drove the first half and Jac took us home. We were happy to see the girls and spent the weekend relaxing and sleeping. This morning, Monday, was my first day back at the gym and I really need it. This afternoon I have a therapy session! I don’t think I’ll make it through the Yankee game tonight. Tomorrow I have apts. in the city…..no rest for the weary!! I understand some of you missed getting pieces you wanted. I know farmerswife wanted the gold trimmed T in navy and gardensla wanted the ivory chain print shirt in a 3x to make into a neckerchief, but they were sold out. I have asked my manufacturer and she replied this morning that all the pieces QVC ordered in those styles were shipped completely and there were no quality issues or shortages.  I can only conclude that they were pre-ordered before your orders got in. Maybe you will get a cancellation…..lets hope so.
I just wanted to check in and thank all of you once again for being so supportive. Know, that I am always here to answer any questions you may have……much Love, Louis

SHOW TIME!

Hello Everyone,
It sure seems that this show has taken a long time getting here, but finally Friday is SHOW TIME! The shows are at 5:00am, 10:00am, and 3:00pm. I will be working with Ms Kobar, whom I haven’t met yet, Mary Beth Roe, whom I haven’t worked with in quite a while and look forward to seeing, and Sandra ,with whom it has been my pleasure to work with quite often. The line ups are done and the shows are set….I hope……I hate last minute changes. I have packed the garments that I will be bringing with me for the models to wear and there are three duffel bags filled with accessories. The chain jewelry will not be getting any air time, but it will be avail for selling. I will be showing it on many of the outfits for all of you to get a good look at. Remember, these pieces are “GOLD PLATED”, not gold tone…..a huge difference. The style numbers are.. J159965 for the necklace and J159966 for the bracelet. They are gorgeous and worth every penny…..true collectors pieces. I hope it does well because I would really love to continue to bring you wonderful pieces of jewelry. At last, the ribbed cardigan and tank have arrived for selling! I really don’t need to say much about them…..in navy and ivory… they are pure CLASS. The style numbers are A214007 for the tank and A214008 for the cardigan.
I think you are really going to enjoy the shows. The 10:00 show is completely NEW ITEMS!!! The 3:00pm show is also almost all NEW and some reorders….i.e. the mosaic peasant skirt. From what I have heard it has been selling very well from pre-orders….SO, If you want it…. a word to the wise! For my pebble crepe lovers, I am sure you will love the two new pieces. What’s not to love about a long pull-on pant in white, aquamarine and light tan. The lt. tan looks great with all the chain print colors. The new two tiered crinkle georgette skirt was a “customer request”. It is the solid version of the Ikat print skirt from a few seasons back……Can you believe how much Ikat print has shown up since?! The matching cap sleeve peasant top is perfect under the blazer with the french cuffs, and all the colors work….aquamarine, yellow… and the black is a must have under the ivory blazer with the black buttons. Has enough been said about the CHAIN PRINT! I am telling you it is fabulous! Many MAJOR designers have done a chain print at one time or another…..and I mean bold chain prints. I am not saying it is for everyone….but…..for the confident …it is a fantastic look. This is the last summer show with new items for the season. Next month we start transition or “pre fall”, but let’s not jump too far ahead, after all….summer hasn’t even officially started yet!!!
Well, there is nothing left to do but pack up the caravan and head on south. Jac and I look forward to “seeing” you and, with luck, hearing from you!
………………………….much Love, Louis

A Sad Note

Jac and I wanted to send our condolences to Jeanne Bice’s family and to her extended family. We heard the terribly sad news, like all of you. Surprise would be an understatement……we thought she was doing well and prayed she would recover. I have known  Jeanne for over 10 years. There wasn’t a single time that we didn’t see each other, either at QVC or in our hotel, that she didn’t reach out to touch my hand and say something positive. When she knew we were going to be at the Q at the same time, she would pop into the green room and say hi to Jac. She was a smart, sassy and wise business woman. Her brilliance was bringing all of her viewers into her “Quacker Family”…….a safe haven for all to be who they are without any judgment. Her philosophy of life was simple…..”Sparkle and Shine”. Go out into the world with confidence and self esteem and bring some happiness to others……shine your light on those you love and the people around you……….
……………..Sparkle and Shine………………words to live by……….
…………………..Jeanne, we will miss you…………….All our love to the Bice family, Louis and Jac
