“SILK DRESSES”

……………..Depending on where you were going for your resort vacation a fabulous silk dress may have been just what you needed for evenings out to dinner, clubs and casinos. Some resorts are extremely casual…..but others are dressy where it is fun to see how beautiful women are turned out in the evening, and men look handsome in their resort finery. Jac and I always went to resorts where dressing for dinner was expected…..I always brought white and natural linen for evenings out……so whatever Jac chose to wear she would stand out….that wasn’t hard for her…..The two silk dresses in VIOLET and PURPLE are both somewhat  bare, but worked on many body types. The violet scoop neck with the empire top and pleated bottom is on Christie, and the purple halter top dress with the invert pleats and circular skirt is on Jasmeen…….The tops on both dresses were double silk to finish them off beautifully. They were perfect dance dresses for those tropical nights…………Strappy high heel sandals were perfect to swirl in.

“SILK PIQUE”

…………….Resort collection clothes have to have longevity, and they have to have more of a purpose than just taking them away on a vacation to some fabulous resort. These clothes were also the harbingers of the spring season to come……….SILK PIQUE was the perfect fabric to bridge the seasons. The VIOLET zip front shaped tunic top with the bateaux neckline over the slim pencil skirt was perfect for the spring season to come……..Worn over white pants it can easily be worn for dinner at any resort…or summertime function.

“CYPRESS”

………………….Some may consider such a deep green color not to be a true resort color….but I heartily disagree. For me it’s the color of tropical palms and ferns…. The depth of color gives the necessary contrast and richness to the more vibrant colors found in the flowers of the tropics. The Shawl collar elongated silk jacket was lined in the self silk which made it a double layer of silk! It was softly constructed and the tailoring was also softly done….The Bustier Sarong dress had inner construction that is necessary for a proper fit and to make the dress feel secure. The top of the dress was also double silk to give the inside a beautiful finish….Remember this was Anne Klein Couture! The double silk jacket was $675, while the dress was $395……..Today, 30 years later, each piece would be well over $1500……Jasmeen looks exotically beautiful in the Cypress color.

” SILK CHEMISE DRESSES & SLIP ON COVER UPS”

……………….The Silk dresses were simple sleeveless chemises with scoop necklines, and the silhouettes followed the lines of the body. The cover ups were DOUBLE LAYERS OF SILK….and totally REVERSIBLE!……CYPRESS and CHARTREUSE, and ORANGE with MANGO matched the strappy high heeled sandals. As a designer, with all of the resources avail to me, it made designing so much more fun when your vision can come to life with custom made shoes and jewelry designed to dress a woman from head to toe……….It made it so much easier for the customers too!!!

“THE BRA DRESS & BUSTIER”

…………….The Rayon/Span knit, that I had made in Italy, was also perfect for the Bra dress and the Bra bustier, besides the Capri pant and Unitard. A lighter weight was used for tank tops. These pieces were beautifully constructed with seaming to contour the body and give a perfect fit…..The Chartreuse dress had matching suede banded sandals. The crop Pique jacket looked fabulous over this very body conscious dress…….The Cypress bra top and silk pleated shorts had a matching silk belt and suede high heeled sandals……Sexy then…..Sexy now!
