………………..The Anne Klein Collection was famous for the tailored blazers, and none more so than the NAVY CREPE BLAZERS……The one on the left on Jasmeen was an elongated Double Breasted version, and the one on Christy was a Single Breasted version……With each collection I also created custom buttons which became a signature touch to each collection….The buttons were made for me by the jewelry company that made the Anne Klein Couture and the Anne Klein 11 jewelry collections…..This particular button was to look like a screw and nut…….Jasmeen is wearing the jacket with a silk side closure blouse over cream trousers, and Christy is wearing a silk button down with gold buttons on the collar, and ivory walking shorts……..Thirty years old????  They could all be worn today.

A Resort collection is always a fun collection to create. It is created just as the fall collection is almost completed…..so you have to have a totally different mind set. My resort collections always had two different stories…..The first being more tailored, and the second being more vacation take away…..Keep in mind that the clothes I am about to show you were done……30 YEARS AGO!!!!!

…………………..Tailored jackets were always a love for me……It was always a challenge to come up with something new and timeless…..That said the outfits Jasmeen Ghauri and Christy Turlington are wearing are 30 YEARS OLD!….Timeless….I think so…..The two IVORY JACKETS above were all banded in NAVY, with DTM navy buttons. Both are double breasted, and both are shown with navy…….Just to put a little perspective on what things cost 30 years ago….both jackets on Jasmeen and Christy were $695. The knit UNITARD on Jasmeen was $150, and the knit CAPRI PANT on Christy was $90……All accessories and shoes on these pages and the ones to follow are Anne Klein Couture.

……………………..I cooked up a pretty quick dinner tonight. I heated olive oil in a pan with salt and pepper. I cut up the cheese and parsley sausage and browned it while the quartered new potatoes were boiling. When the sausage browned I added minced garlic, thyme, and balsamic vinegar. I added white beans and halved small tomatoes…..then I added the potatoes and mixed it up and let it simmer…………..delicious!
