…………………………………..With each group of clothing I like to offer at least one “STATEMENT PRINT”…..For the month of October I am presenting to you the…………BYZANTINE MOSAIC PRINT, A259615. I am always inspired by antiquity and the wonders and richness of the objects, architecture, art and artists that came before us…..What they achieved, with what today would be considered primitive means, is a marvel. For you Art History buffs, you may recall the splendid Byzantine mosaic of the Queen wearing her crown, and her garments incrusted with gems. That was the inspiration for this……..ENGINEERED PLACEMENT PRINT…………The intricacy of this print and the amount of screens used required the best printers at my disposal. This is not a print anyone could do…..it takes artisans to know how to layer the colors with each individual screen to achieve the desired result. I can tell you if this top were hanging….as is…..in any designer store such as a Dolce and Gabbana ,who are know for their archival inspired prints, this top would be $400 to $500 minimum……and probably more…. This print actually looks like a mosaic with jewels encrusted on the garment……I can’t stop looking at it!…….I have done many prints in my life and I think this is definitely one of if not the best. I truly loved, as you know, the tile print from this past summer, and if you loved that…..you will love this even more. The mosaic on the body of the top was designed to flatter and cause an optical illusion drawing the eye in. The sides of the print are SHADED to give more of an illusion of sculpting the body IN…..every little bit helps…LOL…..The giant jewels were also placed to flatter the shape of the body. The top has intricate borders of rows of mosaic tiles and gems. The sleeve repeats the border at the hem……The back of the top is exactly like the front……………

………………………….The color of the top in the photos above is called…………….CLAY……………It is the closest coloration to what an actual Byzantine mosaic might look like. The colors, and there are many, are very EARTHY……………..Ochre, sienna, brown, russet, khaki, yellow, white, citrine and black are just a few of the colors used to bring this print to life. In the photo above I have it paired with a simple Black WK pencil skirt, A237412………The top is approx 27 inches long for the xs. I will probably be showing this top with a legging….which one I haven’t decided yet….but…..I’m leaning towards the LINEA BODY LEGGING, A260034, in WALNUT. …….The fabric of this top is the polyester and spandex jersey that many of you love. It is a fabric I have used often for my print tops. It is durable, never pills and id practically wash and wear…..perfect for traveling. The jewelry is all from my archives, and who knows….it may one day be part of the LINEA JEWELRY COLLECTION…… For those of you who fall in love with this print as I have………….I know you will spend a goodly amount of time just looking at is, and discovering new things…….as you would look at a mosaic on a wall or on a floor in some ancient building or museum……I am sure this top will garner many compliments……………………………………………………enjoy………………..Much Love…………….Louis

……………….The BYZANTINE MOSAIC PRINT TOP, a259615, will also be offered in………………….SEA GREEN…………….Again, the colors were chosen very carefully to combine the fantasy with the authenticity of what an ancient mosaic might look like. There are many shades of green from a pale menthe , and sea green to hunter green. There are deep aqua blues hiding behind the greens waiting to be discovered ….. russet, white and black……citrine, lemon yellow and ochre…………are more colors to give the print it’s vitality………..I have it paired with the HUNTER GREEN WK PANT, A257385 for the reg and A257386 for the petite, which sets off the print beautifully………………………………enjoy……………………….much Love …………….Louis

……………………………..MULBERRY……………..is the third and final color be offered in this BYZANTINE MOSAIC PRINT, and it truly is beautiful……….Mulberry, lavender, gray, fuchsia, pale yellow and pale olive….black white and mauve re just some of the colors that are to be found in this print………………Even in these shades….there is an EARTHY QUALITY and a feeling of times passed. I have it paired with my black Super Ponte legging, but there are so many different way to wear it…..black jeans for casual….black velvet for a holiday party……………….Jewelry really isn’t necessary with this top….an earring and maybe a bracelet will be enough……but if you choose to wear necklaces….they should be LONG. Again, the jewelry in the photos  are from my collection, and could easily show up on my QVC site………..someday!…………………………..

…………………………….In my series of FAUX SHETLAND SWEATERS, the V-NECK PULLOVER  and the Poncho……the BOYFRIEND CARDIGAN, A259619, is the third and final style. You know the yarn…80%acrylic/20%nylon. Many of you own it….know how it feels and know how it preforms, and the feed back I have received has ALL been positive. This cardigan is made in the same 8 gauge jersey knit with the same rib trims………….It is a classic V-neck cardigan, long sleeves and is approx. 32 inches long…..perfect for all of your Linea LEGGINGS……The DARK GRAY LINEA BODY LEGGING, A260034, looks really good with this color cardigan……….HUNTER GREEN…….. There are many alternatives for your layering pieces. The WK Turtleneck, A72448, is now avail in the Hunter Green, as well as the WK TANK, A237404, both shown above. Coming in Jan I will be able to offer you the new WK ENR JEWEL NECK, SHORT SLEEVE essential….also in the HUNTER GREEN…..To tie it all up you have the HUNTER GREEN WK SCARF, A257914……As you can see from the photos above the Shetland Hunter Green is NOT a solid color….all of the Shetlands are HEATHERED…….and therefore are softer and not a saturated color…..the pale gray “hairs” are very evident…..making the cardigan a perfect pairing with any of my GREY BOTTOMS……The STONE trouser, A259702 for regular length, and A259705 for the petite length, also is a terrific alternative……however…….THE HUNTER GREEN WHISPER KNIT PANT, A257305 for reg and A257386 for petite, for me, is the PERFECT CHOICE……it is the only HUNTER GREEN PANT I have done, and you can not beat a DYED TO MATCH LOOK with ALL of your HUNTER GREEN WK TOPS…..This is something you should take advantage of while it is avail!…..Whisper Knit is pure COMFORT from head to toe……Accessorize with SILVER or GUNMETAL as in my 2 STRAND BEAD NECKLACE, J296893, or the MULTI CROSS NECKLACE, J270119 to give the look a little edge! For my petites who are saying this is TOO long…..roll the sleeve and you will be surprised how something you thought was overwhelming….all of a sudden looks GOOD!…………………..enjoy………………….much Love…………………………….Louis

……………….The second choice in the SHETLAND BOYFRIEND CARDIGAN, A259619 is………….HEATHER GREY………………..and it is a WOW. The beauty of these sweaters is how LIGHT WEIGHT they are….how SOFT they are, and how RICH looking they are. These sweaters are suitable for every area of the country…..If you wear a cardigan at all…..you can wear this one. There are so many ways to wear these cardigans I could have done twenty different outfits….it all depends where and for what the occasion is………For casual a …T-Shirt and Jeans or LEGGINGS …like my BLACK, NAVY or DARK GRAY LINEA BODY LEGGING, A260034. Jac wore the gray the other day and fell in love…..I better watch out!
