My SEPTEMBER SHOW DATE  & TIME HAS BEEN CHANGED………I will now be on Sept 24th from 5pm to 7pm…..so it’s a day earlier and an hour later than the original…..PLEASE PASS THE WORD!!!!

Morning everyone. I hope you were able to see the brief PROMO last night from Bryant Park. It was a beautiful chilly night and the models were happy to have the Boucle Toppers on. The first hit was at 8pm with Courtney, Jac and myself. They asked if I would stay till 9pm for a second hit. I wasn’t expecting to be on again, so I couldn’t let you know that was going to happen. I was the last promo of hits for items that will be on the PM Style show. I understand  that they have been running these “promos” since Weds. The Malachite and the Lapis toppers were on the 9pm promo, and I have to say the girls looked wonderful. I see the long bead necklace is only avail. in one out of four colors. I’ve been told there are only a few left……TONIGHT, I will be on PM STYLE selling the TOPPER. I have no idea what the line up is, so I DO NOT KNOW WHAT TIME I WILL BE ON………….I hope to “see” you all there……much Love…….Louis

……………….One of ..THE …colors of the season is……….RUBY…………Many of you have already selected  a RUBY WHISPER KNIT SWEATER  in one of the styles being offered, and know just how gorgeous this RUBY is. It is a PURE RED………It is not ORANGE, nor is it BLUE. PURE red is a PRIMARY PIGMENT COLOR and it doesn’t get more primary than this!…..One of the Ruby WK sweaters featured above is  A237410, the scoop neck PEASANT SWEATER……………………….. Tomorrow night on the SPECIAL DESIGNER PM STYLE I will be presenting this TOPPER,A238159…….but QVC is having very short sneak peeks or promos today to advertise tomorrow nights PM STYLE…..I will be on for a minute or two tonight at about 8pm with the topper…..but I don’t know exactly when……………The fabric is VERY similar to the PINK & BLACK coat I had on the line last year, A229477. The texture and weight of the fabric is almost the same, except last year’s fabric was 50% WOOL & 50% POLYESTER, and the new version is 60% WOOL & 40% POLYESTER. If you loved the coat fabric…you will love this one too…..The topper is fully lined and has four dyed to match large rimmed buttons. The sleeves are bracelet length. The silhouette of the topper is EASY, and has a DROPPED SHOULDER. It has INSET BAND POCKETS. It has a spread SHIRT COLLAR with a BACK STAND, so it will frame the face beautifully. The topper is approx 29 inches long for the XS……Jac and I were in Bergdorfs the other day, and I can say without hesitation, this topper could have been hanging in ANY department with a $2000 price tag and I wouldn’t have flinched………..This topper is made IMPECCABLY, and IS a DESIGNER GARMENT. What I love about this topper is…… it will take you from casual to dressy…..it’s not always easy to find an outerwear piece that you feel comfortable wearing over evening clothes or a beautiful LBD…..I can see this topper worn over your ivory wool IRISH FISHERMAN’S SWEATER, and a pair of jeans on a casual Saturday……or that LBD for work with black tights and black shoe booties…………….or…….as shown above with the WHISPER KNIT RUBY CARDIGAN, A237402 worn over the WK RUBY TANK, A237404……..and my new “RUBY SEQUIN SKIRT”, coming in October….just in time for the Holiday parties. If you want to make an entrance and STEAL THE SHOW………..this is what you wear! ……There are many WK sweaters avail in the Ruby color so you have many options. In Oct. This is “the necklace” that was inspired by the necklace Nancy Reagan wore the night of the State Dinner I attended, and it is probably my absolute FAVORITE piece I have ever done for QVC up until now…..and that’s saying a lot! …………………….MALACHITE…………is a marvelous Blue Green! ……There is no doubt about it………Columns of color are happening again! It had to happen…..after all the mad cap mixtures of unrelated prints and colors and accessories…..a CHIC & SOPHISTICATED COLUMN OF COLOR looks so RIGHT, SO REFRESHING!….. It looks POLISHED, MODERN & TIMELESS…..When Lisa speaks of Madison Ave, for me, it’s about women who dress in the most CURRENT and ELEGANT way. It’s not about trends or fads….that’s for the down town girls and that’s OK….but that’s about…..”disposable fashion”…. clothes that are in one minute and out the next…………..THIS way of dressing….. is the TOTAL OPPOSITE of disposable fashion…… Under the MALACHITE TOPPER, A238159, I have anchored each look above with a MALACHITE WK SWEATER, and there are many to choose from…. ..A237402 the cardigan, A237404 the tank, A237405 the classic jewel neck [shown above],and A237411 the V-neck tunic worn with the A237412 WK pencil skirt…..shown above….all work to create that COLUMN of COLOR. I think it’s a glorious way to look and it will work for anyone  in any size……For evening, with all the gold and color jewelry, I recommend a beautiful Classic….SOLID GOLD….HIGH HEELED POINTY TOE PUMP….a lower heel will work too……As I said earlier….Jac and I were browsing through Bergdorfs and Jac wanted to see what was new in the shoe department…….whether they are for you or not….EVERY SHOE….except Chanel’s classics ………….were POINTY TOES & NOT ONE PLATFORM ANYWHERE!!!!! I have been telling the QVC models that for months, but they can’t go out and buy all new shoes….LOL….For the most HIGH FASHION and the MOST EXPENSIVE DESIGNER shoe lines….PLATFORMS ARE DEFINITELY OUT………it had to happen. I have also shown above the same MALACHITE TOPPER and WK sweaters worn with a simple BLACK PENCIL SKIRT and a BLACK PANT……………..DO NOT BE AFRAID OF COLOR………..I GUARANTEE COMPLIMENTS will be ABUNDANT! I must tell you, as hard as I try to match everything perfectly, the Malachite of the Topper and the Malachite WK sweaters are slightly off……but they still look GREAT together. If you tried to find a better match….you couldn’t……In the photos above, besides the new GLASS BEAD choker necklace and the cross….this time in the GOLD/EMERALD and SAPPHIRE combination, I have added the J284036, GOLD BEAD & EMERALD BEAD LONG NECKLACE which is avail to purchase NOW…..When these looks go on PM STYLE I know the necklaces will fly…..there aren’t that many of them!. When wearing an outfit as simple as this COLUMN of GREEN….it can take LAYERING ON THE JEWELRY…..If you haven’t noticed….I am not a minimalist……MORE is always BETTER!…………………………………….it’s a LOOK right off the  RUNWAY!!………………………………………………………….

………………………LAPIS BLUE………….is a RICH,  INCREDIBLE color, created by Mother Earth, and it is truly breathtaking!….. This LAPIS is so rich and SATURATED that it was impossible for me to capture it in the photos, but if you already own a Whisper Knit sweater in the Lapis….you now what I mean. For each of the collages, I wanted to show the COLUMN OF COLOR, so your eye will become accustomed to the “LOOK”. Maybe some of you are dressing this way already….but….in color it’s different than all BLACK. I have been noticing designers such as Gucci, YSL, Valentino, DIOR, Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, Bottega, Donna Karan and Alexander McQueen, to name a few, all having columns of color appearing here and there on the runway…..some more than others………..showing these columns of color in suits, dresses and separates…..all with tonal hose and shoes…..it just looks right. Should you be dressed like this every day….of course not, but when you want to look especially pulled together……..pull it together with a column of COLOR….you just can’t miss!……The WK sweater above is A237410, the SCOOP NECK PEASANT SWEATER. I have been asked if this is running big, because the bust measurement is larger than normal. THIS is a PEASANT SWEATER with SHIRRING around the neckline and a RAGLAN sleeve, so of course there will be slightly more fabric than a basic sweater and the measurement will be bigger….it should be. The extra drape is what creates the PEASANT LOOK. I would not recommend sizing down….this is as it should be! I think the PEASANT SWEATER is  a wonderful change under a jacket, or in this case the LAPIS TOPPER, than always wearing a basic more tailored sweater. There is a little more fantasy and femininity to a peasant type sweater……..It can go casual with jeans, but it can also add the right touch with the new SEQUIN SKIRT…….glam it up with a gold belt….chain or leather…….or as I have shown ….just worn loose  over a WONDERFUL  pair of LAPIS GABERDINE TROUSERS!!!!!!!coming in OCT………… This is a look that put Halston on the map, and I am happy to bring it back to life…..actually, on the last fall cover of Bergdorf Goodman’s Designer catalog, they showed a GUCCI heavy silk tunic and matching pant all in LAPIS BLUE……..so this is definitely a trend that is happening……………………….enjoy…………….much Love……………………Louis
