Louis, Louis, Louis – as a 20yr. customer of QVC I have never written a comment,
and I am a writer! I am compelled to let you know how much I admire you
and your fashion genius. We go waaaay back Louis, 30 or is it 40 yrs.? I still have several AK pieces and recently had to discard a special silver/navy striped silk blouse with removable matching bow tie that just disintegrated with age! Like I pray you and I will not … ha, ha. Also since you mentioned your vintage cashmere well, I still have a red cashmere hooded coat with fringe that I refuse to give up! Your obvious love of beautiful textiles is my love too.
I have been purchasing your designs on the Q from the start, but this new fall/winter grouping is just beyond gorgeous … elegant, classy – just my cup of tea! And I have ordered all of the Love Knot jewelry pieces to mix it up with plus the crosses. Also six tie blouses (need back-ups) and of course, the jackets and skirts in solids and now velvets! Was able to get the WK tunic sets, feather prints and the drawstring sets with body suits. Can hardly wait for the HTC’s – Luv the cut of that jacket!!! Your colors are TDF -jade, topaz, violet, chili pepper to spice up the neutrals OMG. I could go on and on but enough for my first posting ever!!!! And I too love Maggie Smith, ha!
Hugs to you,Jacque and all the “kids”
Christine
PS: is it me or have I noticed a difference between Hong Kong and China manufacturers? Especially in size consistency?
PPS: Also, a special thanks to Carly Twila, I follow her reviews for the best fit advice — thank you Carly so much!
Dear Christine……30-40 years!!! What took you so long to get in ouch with me!!! I can’t thank you enough for all of your kind words. I guess it has been close to 40 years that I have been in the fashion business. I started when I was 19. I had already gotten an assistants job, through Parsons School of Design, before I even graduated. I remember the red coat well….it’s still a beauty! Michael Kors did one very similar this year.As far as HK versus China. There is very little manufacturing done in HK. It is mostly a business center where all of the trading offices are…..regards, Louis
I have been a fan of your clothes for YEARS. I have clothes that I have purchased from QVC at 8 years ago and they still look good. I have my mother hooked on your clothes as we both love your style. We are big girls and your clothes have never failed us. I have been keeping up with you on your website, but I never leave a comment. I love the coat and the houndstooth pieces that are scheduled for your October shows and I can’t wait!!!! The only problem for me is choosing a color. Those pieces are sharp. I am too excited.
Erica….it is so nice to hear from you. I know I have fans out there, but it is terrific to “know” you and “hear” from you……please keep posting! Say HI to your MOM!!
