Dear Louis,
I am delighted that you are doing this cardigan in your beautiful navy. I love the color, the v-neck design, have many things it will work well with, and so appreciate your designer’s take on an old standby, the cardigan.
Hope you and Jac have battened down the hatches, or whatever the saying is, there on Long Island Sound and are not too affected by Sandy. Here on the Maine coast the winds are already whipping the waves to great heights. I took my Corgi, Rosie, for a walk on the beach this morning. She loved the blowing wind and mist, but her mom (me) had trouble finding the beauty in it.
Hi, Louis! Is this navy the same navy as the tank from last Spring? I certainly hope so. I lived in the Linea tank/cardigan combos in Vienna, either together or layered over other pieces. Am eager to have a navy cardigan to go with my navy tank!
As an aside, I agree with the suggestion to fill your bathtubs up with water in preparation for Sandy. Back in Maryland we had our own artisan well and if the power went, so did our water supply. Having the tubs full were a life saver in so many ways. STAY SAFE!!!
I believe they are the same navy. I always give the same standard, but to be honest I had no reason to check since there will be new pieces to wear under the cardigan. I will take your advise and fill the tub. We do have cases of water in the basement already…..if there is no need for it…..I can always take a bath…LOL
Brrrrr…My knee jerk reaction is to fill up the tubs right away. And I did so with the first anticipated hurricane power outage when we moved here. Didn’t know until after we lost power that there is no need to do so as our water supply here is not dependent on electricity. Our hot water heater was, though! So I heated water on our gas stove and took modified baths that way.
Actually I have a generator so if we loose power everything will still work. We have a gas stove and a gas water heater…..I think we will be OK. What worries me is the wind and the water surges and the fact that there will be a full moon. This sounds all to reminiscent of 92′
DEAR lOUIS, I have the original whisper knit cardigan in black which I love and wear it with the whisper knit mock neck short sleeve sweater as a twin set. Will there be mock neck short sleeve sweaters in the new colors– violet and navy? I hope so. Thanks. Be safe in the storm. I hope it doesn’t live up to the hype! Judy
There will be a mock neck, but it will be sleeveless. It will be avail in some of the colors of the cardigan, but not all. The other MN colors that don’t match the classic cardigan will match the new Kimono cardigan. There will be other choices to work under the V-neck cardigan also. When you see all of the sneak peeks, you can right down which styles come in which colors and pair up your sets. I couldn’t offer every style in every color. The buyer simply could not buy that broad a range, but there is definitely a big assortment…..more than any one person could buy.
