I am a bit new to Linea, but like all your fans I am in love. I grew up overseas and am very impressed with your quality and european style/flair found in all your clothing. I cannot wait for Feb 3 and am eyeing a red jacket with maybe a matching skirt. I just received my black jacket with pearls buttons, and I know it I will be wearing it for a very long time. Thank you, Thank you.
Dear Clarika,
I appreciate your note very much. I am so pleased you liked your black jacket. I think a red suit is amazing!!and you can wear the red skirt with an ivory tank and your black jacket….lots of pearls and black patent sling backs……..and that will look amazing too……….regards, Louis
Oh, LOL … I’m old enough to remember when we “distressed” our jeans ourselves … sandpaper, bleach, pebbles, peroxide … my mother watched that washing machine to make sure she knew what we were putting in there … ! I too am so anxiously awaiting the arrival of your denim; I THINK I remember something about a jacket …
Louis, this new sneak looks fabulous. I want to ask a favor. I am a California girl and my uniform for years at work and at play was a great pair of jeans(pressed) a white silk blouse and a great jacket with loads of necklaces that I found in Soho second hand shops in the late 60s. I wear mostly low heel shoes…stuart Weitsman patent loafers or Tod’s driving shoes…and I would love to see that casual aspect shown in your presentations. I of course know my style by now and you supply all my incredible pieces. But I think perhaps other younger women new to Linea may need to see your great suits go casual without the heels or with a great pair of boots. I love these sneak peeks today with the Jac’s jeans..She does this beautifully in some of your shows, but I would love for the other models to give us this uptown/downtown look. Not too long ago, I put your black boucle jacket with the gold zippers and leather trim with a white long sleeve tee shirt, my jeans and a pair of sleek loafers and a big cashmere scarf and went to a play at the American Rep theater in Cambridge…I cannot tell you how many women stopped me at intermission to ask me about this fabulous jacket. It was just the right mix of design detail in the jacket with jeans that made me look casually contemporary…yet dressy enough when we took friends to dinner at Ten Tables restaurant. I bought double on your v neck cardigan in all the colors…couldn’t bear the thought of something happening to one and not be able to find it again. These sweaters are superb!
Dear victoria,
I hear you loud and clear. I would love to show things with a more casual shoe, however that is one thing I don’t supply. The models bring their own shoes so I really have to rely on what they own. For some reason they do not wear, own, or like flat shoes!!!!The shoes avail in the models closet are just heavy and sport oriented…..not to pretty. The best I can get them in is jeans and heels. For summer I have asked them to get flat sandals but it is their money their choice……….Louis
Ya know, it’s really hard to find a nicely distressed pair of “women’s” jeans. It seems that if you want something distressed, you have to go to the super low-rise style which just doesn’t work for so many of us any more; yet there are times when some nicely distressed jeans are perfect to “dress down” an outfit (as in the pic above and so many of your other sneak peeks). I always love the way Jac changes the entire look of an outfit when she pairs something with her jeans during a presentation; S
such a classy look. Maybe your next pair of jeans could be Jac-jean replicas??
Dear Jeanie,
Jac’s are by “7 For All Mankind”. I think you would have better luck looking at that brand. They may be a little pricey, but they last forever.

I see a lovely pearl necklace nested amongst the byzantines….anything we can look forward to? Or the knotted gold one?
No, I’m afraid they are vintage.
