“WINDOWPANE”

………………..I have always LOVED the WINDOWPANE Pattern….There is something about the cleanliness and sharpness of the linear pattern that appeals to me…….I have been using the windowpane design for many years, and for all seasons. I have done huge windowpane designs for woolen coats, and I have printed it on cotton for jackets, skirts and Capri pants. For my Linea collection I had it woven in silk, and made a little shirt jacket with 3/4 sleeves, and contrast color on the turn back cuff and the under collar…. It was extremely popular and reordered for years…..I’m sure there are many women who are still wearing it….It never goes out of style……This sketch represents a woven wool windowpane jacket and skirt. The jacket has a four button front, a DOG EAR collar and lapel, and the button flap patch pockets extend lower than the front of the jacket……The matching fabric boots were to have a side zipper with a leather toe cap, heel cap and a matching leather covered heel….It still looks modern, and can still be worn all of these years later.
